New X5/X7 grills don't look too large to me, but this doesn't look right, especially with the skinnier headlights... need to see it in person though, maybe it will grow on me.

I understand everyone's feelings about the grills but for the 7 (which I think BMW should come out with an ultra luxury named "Seven" but that's for another thread) but look at the Rolls Royce grill, traditionally a very large grill, a sign of luxury?

Yes, but the person who pays for one of these never sees the front or rear, just the side, as the chauffeur pulls up and opens the door.

That's not correct the G11 was seen as much better than the F platform, it was recently reviewed by Autocar they placed it above the new gen A8.

Ding, ding - we have a winner... 40% of the market for the 7 series is China - wealthy Chinese love their bling, and will be sitting in the back of one of these. Hence, BMW bring on the big grill like the Rolls... same for the X7.

Like I said.... MUCH better! The 7 can now at least compete in the "presence" department.

X7 and 7 customers (the Chinese) want bigger grills and they will gobble these up. You haters that take your opinions and get an s class or a8 while bmw laughs all the way to the bank.
