Was that the shooting at Victoria Gardens? Had not heard about it till you mentioned it. Was it a robbery?

What ever happened to the legislation to stop bail in Cali?

Two recent arrestees in the 'Nard were listed as still incarcerated due to bails in the $1mil+ range. That's just not FAIR!! How are gang-bangers that had to resort to home invasion going to raise that kind of cash??? Their 3rd amigo was shot by the home owner and didn't make it to the hospital. . .

The home owner was stabbed, not sure before/after he shot the invader, and the DA is STILL considering ruling it justifiable homicide????

I can't with this type of decision making. If someone breaks into his home is he just gonna stand there and say welcome criminal? Is he going to try and defend his home or protect his family? This world is becoming more and more f'ed up.

It's crazy that a discussion is even needed under those circumstances. If you're in my residence unannounced - and with a weapon on top of that - all bets are off.

The DA can't stop a civil suit from happening. By ruling the death "justifiable," that is protection enough.

He also mentioned that Colorado does not have a duty to retreat due to someone illegally entering your home. Now, I'm not entirely sure what the police officer said is 100 percent correct, but it has stuck with me since 1993. Looking at some of the Colorado Revised Statutes, it looks fairly accurate.

I saw a sign a few years back that I wanted to buy, but figured if I had to shoot an intruder it wouldn't go so well for me. It said:

"If you enter this house uninvited there's a very good chance you'll die from a serious case of lead poisoning." All the "o's" were bullet holes. Saw one in Texas I also liked. It was a sign with crossed 1911's that said "We don't dial 911!"
