Pdc failure
2016 750li i get a pdc failure after about 30-40 minutes of driving.
Dealer said front left sensor needs replacing, they wouldnt give me the part number but said its the front right the one that also monitors parking spaces for automatic parking. They quoted me 230 usd for the sensor alone. Fair price? Can i find it cheaper somewhere? Thanks in advance. |

It can also clear up confusion…you say that they told you it was the front right PDC sensor that monitors parking assist….well those are two different parts…which one are they saying has an issue? The illustrations below are from the www.bimmercat.com parts database site. PDC SENSORS: (color selective) PARK ASSIST SENSORS: (color selective)

.....and additional to Qsilver7 and JellyStyle info, the PDC sensors are color matched to your bumper paint color....
I did look up the black one, and it can be purchased online from a BMW parts counter for $199. Once you get it tho, it will take some effort to remove the bumper cover yourself to replace, which depending on your DIY'er skill, may be worth considering having a professional replace the sensor. If you plan to take the bumper cover off yourself, I can post the directions from TIS upon request. Good luck. |
