► Racing Jack
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/3000-...motiveQ5fTools Going to purchase one and this is the first time I'm actually getting one. So basically I don't know what to look for exactly in a "racing jack". You guys have any good suggestions? 3 tons, 4 tons? In this picture: looks like the ebay version. (cheap + flimsy) compared to a REAL one! .

If you want to do it right, get a Brunnhoelzl. I dont own one but have used them before. Amazing! If not, just get the best one Harbon Freight has to offer and hope it holds up

I've had a craftsman jack back in NY for a while. Its ok. Does its job. It does leak a little bit of fluid, but nothing major. The car will maybe drop a quarter inch. I wouldn't leave it up there for any prolonged period of time nor would I get under it without jack stands.
As much as I'd love one of those nifty $500 jacks, I'll take any cheap jack, throw some stands under the car and be happy. |

No complaints here. It is low enough to squeeze under my slammed ride.
