Help me remove the front lower grill

Hey, not sure if anyone had this problem but the left lower grill on my g11 got discoloured somehow and it has a weird blue tint, looks awful, been trying to find a video or something on how to remove it but nothing, any idea if I can remove it without having to remove the bumper? The part number is 51118092157

I have seen that happen to quite a few. If it were mine I would probably mask off the area hand paint or spray in a satin or gloss black depending on your preference. I think finish would be quite good .

I had a similar thing happen on the bit of gloss black plastic between the chrome grills with the camera in. Looks as though it bleached a bit in the sun (hardly what you expect in the UK). Dealer replaced under warranty, no issues whatsoever.

Also, it had been ceramic coated from new, so obviously that did not protect against the sun!

I thought of that just a bit scared as it I might fu*k it up, I’ve seen some youtube videos on a 2 series the guy just removed them with some trim removal tools, they just clip in don’t they?

I would just do it in situ , just mask off the surrounding paint, If you use a brush you can just dab the paint on . Might need a couple of coats but shouldn’t be difficult and think it would be perfect.
