2016 fully loaded 750i or 2023 330e for the same price?

My 330e order from Mexico factory is about to arrive in a few weeks. Have been twisting between that and a recent private party 2016 fully loaded m sport 750 i saw which has 53000+ miles.

Both have roughly same price around $37,000 before tax (for 330e, MSRP 45000, then 5800 federal credit + 1500 dealer discount + state credit -> 37000).

Obvious this is apple to orange comparison. For the 330e it has the curved LCD screen and 20+miles EV range but that's about it. Pretty basic config. For the 750 it has everything from self driving to bower wilkins sound and rear seat recline, plus the standard air suspension.

For either choice, it will be occasionally used as we have a brand new x5 45e already that holds more cargo (two kids). For longer road trip we will use the x5 + cargo box on top. So it's a weekend car and for running errands. I estimate 200 miles per month at most so less than 3000 miles per year.

What do you guys think is a better choice? I felt the 7 is a much better looking car and luxury but worry about its potential maintenance cost after 50k miles. For 330e i can get probably use EV mode most of time for short trips but for such low mile a year gas price is almost irrelevant.

The gas mileage that you get from a 750i is that I was able to get 33-34 mpg on 75 mph cruise. You should easily get 28 mpg on the highway too. In the city, you can definitely get 21 mpg. So these are pretty impressive numbers from a 445 hp V8.

Speaking of numbers, this car can definitely get u up to highway speeds in no time. With a 0-60 of 4.3 sec and a quarter mile of 12.7 sec is more than enough power, to be honest.

I am sure you did your homework and reviewed this forum regarding maintenance costs...keep in mind, the 750 you are talking about with 53K+ miles may have several thousand dollars of deferred maintenance just waiting for you (spark plugs, front/rear brakes, etc). I have never done extended warranties as to me that is either 'pay now or pay later' and I rather self-insure on my own terms. Good luck and if you pick the 7 post photos!

The 7 series is way better, but not the same price since you are coming up on tons of regular maintenance (oil, transmission fluid, spark plugs, coolant etc ...). Plus the V8 will need to have its turbo replaced eventually (might have already been done once).
That being said, if you have the money and/or work on it yourself, then take the 7 series all day.
If you do not, then don't take it, it will cost you a lot. Per example, a local BMW indie shop quoted me $2300 to replace 2 motor mounts (cost around $150 for both), so I will do it myself, seems like a few hours job at most.

Did already 4 things myself in 5 months of ownership, which would have cost me an arm and a leg at almost any car shop.

Vehicle is easy to work on though (at least the 740i I have). The V8 might be a little less accessible to work on.

Also, if you get a 750i, get one with the Bower Wilkins, it is worth it. Harman Kardon is very bad (my 2011 hyundai has a much better sound system) and I had to replace all speakers in my 740 ($1300 more just for the better speakers) but it sounds now a whole lot better.
