Drive Train Malfunction
2017 750ix, 43k miles
Anyone had this issue? I did some googling and there was a TSB out for a electronic wastegate actuator replacement back in 2016. TSB I’ve had the updated coolant lines etc 18 months ago. Wondered if they would have done this TSB then? It shows that I can drive, but at reduced power. I hooked up Foxwell and pulled the codes in the images.

The replacement seems pretty straight forward, but is there any programming that needs to be done? Mfg #11658680616 wastegate actuator

Ok folks… I’ve fixed this for some time but it was pretty straight forward. This dude on YouTube is the man…. A step by step procedure that was 100% accurate and I resolved the issue.
M.Ovidiu video I replaced both wastegate actuators. Bought them off Brahman BMW for $900ish I finally got myself a full ISTA set up with a cheap refurb Dell and ENET cable. Watch the YouTube video… that guy is a legend. I calibrated it afterwards exactly like iSTA instructs and I am now 100% back! The car drove ok w the DTM before… just reduced power so it wasn’t a big deal temporarily, but if you are used to using the power when you need it, it could be an issue. I had it parked up in my driveway for weeks bc I was too busy to get to it, but it only took 2hrs Friday morning to knock it out. The only update to his procedure would be to place a rag under the actuator as I spent most of the time fishing the nuts out when I woudl drop them. I lost 2 to the black hole… let’s hope they don’t cause issues later 🤣🫣 Also… I had the turbo replaced under warranty previously and several bolts were missing out of the heat shield 🙄…. Dealer techs… what are u gonna do…
