Steering vibration at idle

I have a chronic problem of feeling vibration/pulsation at my steering wheel while at idle, more prominent in Drive mode.

My car is 40k KMs, 2016 with B58 engine. I had it checked it from two different dealers; one said it was normal, other changed both engine mounting under warranty. Still the problem did not go way.

I am really annoyed when I touch my steering at idle. I also noticed that when my car idles at 650, the vibration is much less noticeable but when it is 750 rpm, I feel it much more. Spark plugs were changed at 20k.

Any comments what the problem could be? Could it be transmissions mount, because that wasn't changed?

I will suggest you to check engine suspension (engine mount, right and left)

I understand that it was checked, but the question is whether correctly

shams13 , Did you ever get a fix for the steering wheel vibrations on your 7 series ? I have the same problem exactly the way you described it on my x3 M40i B58 engine

Could be either axle, or needs a wheel alignment.

It’s only when the car is parked. Very smooth no vibrations when driving.

Engine vibration that comes through to steering wheel is usually caused by worn engine mounts. I had some one mine and replacing the mounts cured it.
