Am I the only one who thinks it bizarre that the interior touchscreen / gesture controls are the ones that still have the interior camouflage on them.
Totally strange. They couldn't have taken new shots with the interior shown? |

That black radar sensor or whatever it is between the (enormous) kidney grills really looks out of place.

Like a lot of people here, I was put off by the leaked photos.
But these official ones actually made the car look awesome, to my eyes, specially the m-sport! Nice job on making a car this big look like it's a good drive. I dislike the excessive alu trim, but other than that, the step forward inside was even bigger! I understand that this car has a lot of tech in it (which is also amazing), but I feel like more weight should've been dropped... I'm looking forward to the reviews about the new b58! |

I'm not sure why some folks comment on interior or exterior being boring, or it looks like an LCI, or it is underwhelming, ...
I'm not sure what you were expecting as a new generation, an airplane with wings or a chopper??! This car by far has marked an ACE in design...remember that although it comes with many many features, yet the design is in its simplest form possible...you give that assignment to Mercedes, and they've come up with their S with 500 buttons! The design satisfies both Sport lovers and Luxury lovers at the same time...remember, you can't say that to a S Class... This 7 is Sporty and Elegant at the same time...best of both worlds IMO! I don't see anything particularly wrong with this generation...as expected, they will set the benchmark. |

I think it looks really good from the inside, and has really outstanding technology, however for the exterior i was honestly expecting something better.
The front seems unaligned and not, lets say, fluid (compared to the super sleek S class facia) The side chrome moulds i dont like much, seems like add-on to the design The rear seems to stand high, at least to my eyes, and the trunk lid is in a declining state, from the rear window to the rear edge, and so not giving it a sporty feel (GT-like?), although the same declining trunk is also on the S class but there it seemed better integrated. I like the trunk to be dead flat, that gives it a sporty look IMO And for the weight saving, i was reaaally expecting more that 130kg! This car shold be within the 1700's kg range with all that extensive weight savings (the new range rover shaved nearly 400kg, and thats without CF) i know thats a heavier car but with CF it should be an easy game, unless they wanna do the weight reduction gradually, just like engine hp along the years

Are you folks blind?? Look at the size of kidneys and lights! Looks like a truck. And the rear and front bumpers are almost the same. Rear end is atrocious. Exterior design team needs to be fired immediately!! Bloated, boring and cheap looking exterior.

![]() Perfect listening pleasure: Bowers & Wilkins Diamond surround sound system. The Bowers & Wilkins Diamond surround sound system offered as an option for the new BMW 7 Series makes it possible to experience a new dimension in listening pleasure while enjoying the in-car entertainment programme. A fully active 10-channel amplifier with an output of 1,400 watts and 16 partially illuminated speakers together produce an exceptionally precise and wonderfully rich sound in the cabin. In the process, dynamic sound equalizing with three analogue crossovers ensures uniform acoustic performance delivered to all seats. The system also enables the sound setting to be matched to the selected entertainment genre. The five acoustic scenarios on offer include, for example, “Concert”, which reproduces the acoustics experienced in a concert hall, and the “Cinema” setting, which provides cinema-like acoustics when watching a movie on the Rear-seat entertainment system. ![]() |

Diamond tweeters on madisound go for $2k-$5k each, I hope the upgrade price is reasonable.
