I have only done simple stuff so far.

I enabled the options to to run the DRLs on and off in iDrive.

I disabled the automatic stop/start reset thing so that it would permanently remember that the stop/start was disabled.

and

I enabled the recirc memory because I prefer the recirc stays on (to reduce the amount of diesel fumes in the cabin).

What I need to learn how to do is I hate that the recirc function re-disables itself after 5 mins if the outside temp is under 10'C. That just irritates the stuffing out of me . I have considered finding the damn outside temp sensor and wrapping it in padding but finding the setting in the software would be much nicer. If anyone knows I'd appreciate the heads up.

My car has the ability to remote start (for remote parking with the display key) but the remote start function with the normal key is disabled due to UK eco-warrior rules that say you can't start a car while outside it because some insect somewhere will breathe in the fumes and die laughing.

Can anyone tell me the programming codes to enable to turn the remote start (click lock three times) from the normal key fob on?

I found the RCM_ENABLE_REMOTE_ENGINESTART in the BCM part for the keyfobs and enabled that, but there must still be other things that need enabling?

Only cars with iDrive 7

BDC_BODY2:3020 DG_3020, 1C: 5: TCM_REMOTE_START aktiv
BDC_BODY2:30D0 DG_30D0, 0C: 6: RCM_ENABLE_REMOTE_ENGINESTART aktiv
HU_NBT2: 3000 HMI: 252: HVAC_REMOTE_ENGINE_START aktiv
HU_NBT2: 3001 EXBOX: 18: ASSIST_REMOTE_HVAC aktiv

Some people say it works, I have not tried. I have a display key with parking option, so just starting the car remotely does not impress me ...

Thanks

I found everything in your list in Expert Mode in Bommercode except the

3001 EXBOX: 18: ASSIST_REMOTE_HVAC

Either the 2020 G12 doesn't have that command... or Bimmercode can't see it

I noticed today too that Bimmercode doesn't see the Driver Assistant Professional either - so I can't code the HandsOff function with it.

I may have to break out my eSys laptop and see how brave I feel

UPDATE:

It seems remote start is definitely enabled for my car BUT it needs an FSC code for 0x17c

I have NO idea where to get that
