Rim size suggestion for bad roads and good looks

Hi guys,
This is my 1st post here

Just got my '19 745e with the 19" stock wheels and winter tyres.
Now Im preparing for summer and id like to get the best combo that would keep the rim and tyre protected but also still get that sporty fatty look of a 22" set.
The roads here in Eastern Europe dont help much, so basically, what combo of:
-rim size
-tyre size
-spacers(?)
.. would you recommend?

I dont intend to lower the car, thats out of question.

I was looking at the Alpina's Classic C09 black, but they kind of hard to get now and they only come as 21"s. Id be more than happy to receive other wheels suggestions with similar design. My G11 LCI is Black Sapphire Metallic.
Thanks!

20" would be the most I'd go. I'd recommend something like 245-40-20 F and 275-35-20 R with a really good set of tires (Michelin PSS or PS4S). That's stock on my M760i and it rides quite well. You could bump out the fitment with a 11 or 12 mm spacer if you want a more flush fit. You could also add width to both axles, but I think 295 is max on the rear without spacers or a different wheel offset. Not too sure on that though.

FWIW, The oem 21" options actually have the same width as the 20" but reduce sidewall width to 35 F and 30 R which would not be good for rough roads and ride comfort.

Alpina owners with the 21" tend to bend their rims quite often too so something else to consider. If you don't have a V12 or V8, you may have better luck not bending larger rims but Personally, I think the G series looks perfect with 20" if you have the right wheel style. But I also have a pre LCI which doesn't have as "big" styling as the LCI does so your miles may vary.

The OEM specs for 20"s would be:
245/40ZR20 99Y front axle
275/35ZR20 102Y rear axle , XL type of tyres

Now that im kind of made my mind and be looking to get some 20" rims , how should I proceed with the tyres ? Like do I have to go with OEM specs + spacers OR can I choose a wider tyre and then a smaller spacer? Which way to go?

I traded in my 21" 629's to 20" 649i's. 20" fits the car better and fills in just nicely. Coupled with non-runflat tires it is fairly comfortable and handles great.

Depends on the wheel you choose. If you want wider tires and a sportier fit than OEM , you should look for a different wheel style with a wider track and more aggressive offset. That would negate the need for spacers. You could look at G Power or Manhart as they have 20" rim options that may meet your tastes, or at least you can reference their offset, specs and fitment. If you go with an OEM wheel, you would need at least an 11 mm spacer (since you're not lowering) to get a flush fit. 12 mm may be a better option.

You can search the forum for spacer fitment as several members have shared their choices on stock height and lowered cars.

I wouldn't put anything bigger than 20" on the suspension has a nasty habit of giving up when faced with certain types of imperfections and they don't have to be large craters either just the wrong type.
