2010 740 il F02 fault code 118104 and 118004 Intermittent
Good day everyone. I have the above fault codes. Symptoms are that while accelerating, the calls chokes a little to get up to speed. This can happen at 40 mph and after which it smoothens out.
The fault code 118104 basically reads Mixture Control 2 : Fuel Mixture Too Lean intemittenly Fault Code 118004 reads Mixture Control: Fuel-Air Mixture Too Lean Any suggestions on how to look out for affecting issues and things to do to resolve the issues is much appreciated. Have a good day one and all. |

Lean - less fuel relative to amount of air in the instantaneous mix.
Off the top of my head I think of low fuel pressure (pump pressure status) or fuel injector status. Try starting with Techron fuel treatments first. Use Techron and not another additive. I use a 20 oz. bottle to a 1/2 tank of gas. Don’t dilute the Techron (to a full tank) and let the 1/2 tank run down. This really helped my 32 year old Porsche and I do this regularly on all my current vehicles.
