My wife surprised me with a photographer to take some still and rolling shots of my 7 - super cool of her. 2021 750 M-sport.

I want the gap between the tires and the top of the wheelwell to be as minimal as possible, have the car as low as possible in the still pictures. Without leaving the car running and in sport mode, I'm not sure if there's a way to do that.

Does anyone know how much time has to pass after the car has been parked for it to start to lower itself?

I'm also considering leaving the car on, in sport mode and turning off all the lights (I've only had the car a few months and driven about 1000 miles, so I need to make sure I can turn off every exterior light while the car is running)

You can either lower the car, or when you turn off the car get out, close the door, put it in sport mode and open and close the door again and it will lower to sport height.

Thanks. I don't quite understand the process you described. I am lost after: you turn off the car, get out, close the door, put it in sport mode (can't put it in sport mode if I am outside of the car). Can you please clarify?

TIA

In my MY2019 M Sport, if I park in sport mode, it’s stays lowered after I get out and close the door, until any door is then opened and closed.

Mine never stays in sport mode height.

When I park up and switch off the car it visibly rises up within a second or so.

Is there some setting that makes it remain in the lower position?

Mine lowers on it's own every time I turn off the car and the remote leaves the car's proximity no matter what mode I leave the car in

Lowering on its own may be a sign you have an airbag leak

My car is always in sport mode and this works. When I close the doors and lock, it lowers itself.

Thanks for the feedback, all. Pictures went well - will post them once the photographer sends the edited versions.
