Have ordered a 2023 760i.Dealership has not gotten confirmation from BMW for me to sign off on and be assigned a PN.Anyone have a PN yet?

My dealer took a build from me but said they do not expect an allocated production slot until December-January. Its a large dealership that generally has no trouble getting slots. My lease is up end of October, so I hope he's wrong. Based on other posts, production has started, so it is a bit puzzling unless they're ramping up very slowly and/or serving the German market first.

They are making cars for dealers etc first. Production numbers should show up around September

Thanks for the info.I'm 2nd in the queue at a pretty big store so,hopefully, it will happen at least by then.Also,it will be helpful if folks continue to post about order progress.In the meantime,I love my G12!

I think I am #1 at my dealer, wasn't sure but my dealer doesn't expect to take my order til Dec-Jan. As of now they still have my build but no confirmation of order acceptance yet.

Dec-Jan is what I have heard also.

Dealer strangely called me and said BMW is looking for my config for my i7. I asked if that meant he had a production number and he said no but they wanted the configs soon - so idk if that's just factory purchasing planning or something else.

I placed an order for 2023 760i , paid a deposit and the sales man told me he should send me the PN in a couple of days , one week later nothing and he doesn't even answer me

Unless your dealer has some special status, your SA is not being upfront or is ignorant (btw I hope I am wrong). If you get a p/n, please let us know asap. "Orders" and deposits are being taken but that is not the same as orders accepted for production by BMW.

Yes I think you are totally right, So the latest update is that the salesman who sold me the car left the dealership the next week I paid my deposit , so its either he didn't really know how the process goes and thought that I am gonna actually have a production number or just misled me to get the sale before he leaves, I would have still paid the deposit anyways since there is no better alternatives. I am sure the wait is worth it though , part of the fun!

Hello Bimmers ,
Today I got call from one of almost 5 dealers i placed orders with , and he told me that now I have a production number and that the vehicle is scheduled for production for Week 40 (10/2/2022) just wanted to share this with you guys! if you placed an order and no production number yet i highly recommend shopping around for an actual allocation , and even out of state and do a PCD if you can't find it in a nearby dealership.

Congratulations! My build week is 40 which is next month , most probably you will be the same since you got the allocation on the same day!
