Dealer Brake Fluid Flush Cost :|

Hi everyone,

Hope all is well.

Dealer quoted $270 for a brake fluid flush.

Anyone know of any dealers that participate with BMW Value Service that offer better pricing for a brake fluid flush on a 2011 BMW 750Li xDrive? Or any service special coupons on point I can provide to the dealer so they match same?

I feel like the cost should be more like $150!

Many thanks.

Best to all.

Since you're familiar with the BMW Value Service...just go to the website and input your zip code/location and see which dealers in your area participate. Then fill in your vehicle info to pull up what they charge.

If you live in a large metropolis...and have more BMW dealerships that are within driving distance but did not appear in your zip code/location search...select a zip code area outside yours but would include a dealership that is still in driving range...then do the same...select each dealership that appears and see what they charge.

I suppose you could also do this for dealerships that are near relatives and friends that are futher away and/or in a completely different market. If the prices are lower...you could make a two-fold trip...visit family/friends as well as get your car serviced.

To those unfamiliar with the BMW Value Service program...here's a link: https://bmwusaservice.com/valueservice

Many thanks for the insightful message, Qsilver.

All great ideas to keep in mind!

I haven't been able to find any dealer with BMW Value Service pricing on brake fluid flushes.

Hopefully able to find something.

My best.

You may find an unadvertised "value service deal" if you call and inquire with the service department. Or you may find it costs more than what you want to hear. But calling at least saves on fuel costs.

If you're a BMW CCA member...don't forget to ask if there's a discount for members to help reduce the cost of non value service work.

Two questions:

- what is non value service work? If it has no value, why am I paying for it?

- did you do something to that picture in your signature? The 6 looks positively tiny compared to the X5, and I know it's not a tiny car. I guess it's because of the height, but even though, I can't help but wonder if there's some kind of optical trick going on.

1. What I intended to convey in that previous post was…if there is no “BMW VALUE SERVICES” offered for the work you need done…if you are a BMW CCA member…you can check with your local BMW dealership for what their pricing is minus any BMW CCA discount. I believe there was a link provided to check your local area for any of these VALUE SERVICES offered for your model/model year & vicinity.

See image below that is a screen shot from the BMW VALUE SERVICES website. If you needed service performed that was NOT one of these offerings on the website is what I meant by “non” Value Service. I did not mean to convey that the service was of “no value”.

2. No alteration to the pic was done other than cropping the pic to basically include just the vehicles since there was a size limitation requirement for inserting the pic to use in the signature. The two vehicles were actually parked side by side just as it appears in the pic. Must be the camera angle that is altering your optical view.
