BMW 7-Series Security spied
This here is the 2009 7 series in the safest and heaviest edition. It looks almost the same as the regular new 7 series. What gives it away are the wide fail-safe tires and flag holders on the fenders.
BMW 5 Series and X5 are rated VR4 level, new 7 Series Security is very likely rated as VR6/VR7. Windows are at least 22 mm thick, body panels are made of ballistic-resistant armored fiber. The car can resist most firearms from .44 and 357 Magnums to 9 mm Luger. There are also different electronical features such as cameras with intercom and automatic door locking in the case of attack. New 7 Series Security should go on sale next year and can be purchased through a local dealership. If you are not a hated politician or a drug dealer we don’t see a reason for owning one. |

wow, we will be seeing a LOT of those here in LA. i really think OTHER companies should have made this, because this makes BMW look like they are losing there reputation and they need some NEW things to attract customers attention.

what? BMW and Mercedes have been making their own armored cars for decades to protect heads of state and other VIPs. They are very popular all over the world..except not so much in the USA b/c US statesmen must use US built cars. These cars are also equipped with jammers to prevent denotation of road side bombs.

I don't think that Hip Hop stars will be buying this cars. There is one strong reason why. It is quite expencive (up to a milion euros) and it doesn't look much different from the ”stock” version
In most cases goverments will buy cars like this and some Russian milioners living in Moscow Here is a picture of a 2008 7600LI B8 in action.: The car si owned by Slovenian goverment. In front and at the back is ussualy a B4 2007 X5 4.4. |

eh, I don't get the purpose of the Security level for luxury vehicles. If someone is at all serious about kidnapping/hurting you in S. America, E. Europe, etc. they will use rifles. This car is only designed to stop pistol rounds which are very very weak. Sure, .44 magnum sounds bad and scary but any rifle you buy at Wal Mart for deer hunting will sail through this car.
BMW High Security is the ticket if you are in danger and must drive a high profile vehicle such as this. They are designed to stop rifle rounds. Best bet of course is to drive a beater and blend in but some people don't have such options.
