( 2016 750Li) Hello everyone! I’m in the process of trying to determine what to use to help protect locations of frequent contact with my body as I drive. Mainly, the area I’m concerned about is around the interior door grab cup and the leather below it as my left knee constantly makes contact. The door sills and the plastic surrounding the seat controls are also of concern.
I was considering the 3M clear paint film, but I’m concerned it will damage the leather if it needs to be removed. This is the item I’m considering; https://a.co/d/hH0J61i Anyone gone down this route before? And if so,what product did you use? Or,should I just clean the areas of frequent contact more often? Thank you kindly! |

I use Gtechniq L1 on all the interior surfaces of my cars and reapply every 9-12 months. Both my interiors are Ivory leather and still look brand new. I swear by this stuff.

Definitely dont put any paint protection film on it, it's not paint. It will look ridiculous, worse than any wear ever, and adhesives will damage the leather. Just stick with regular cleaning and using anti scuff/wear treatment afterwards. I use Colourlock for all things leather but there are other good producs out there as well.
