New Wing Mirror/Side Mirror Bulbs Sequential (Pics and Video)

Just replaced my wing mirror bulbs easily on my 730D. To cut a long story short some idiot clipped my mirror coming the other way, their wing mirror disintegrated on the road, the only damage on mine was a crack on the drivers side indicator. Wow these are built tough!

Rather than pay the £40 for the official Bulb, I took a punt on some eBay specials, namely sequential ones that swipe across like the Audi/VWs. £36 for both!

They are brighter than the original bulbs, smoked on the outside and just look a whole lot better in my opinion. A cheap way to add something extra.

Garage List
That looks great. How easy/hard to replace the bulbs?

It was simple if you take your time.

Tilt each mirror as far up as it will go. Take 2 plastic prise tools, and a cloth to save you from scratching the trim around the mirror. Start moving around the mirror popping it off its clips. Behind mirror are 2 clips, use a plastic tool again to unclip these. Then use the plastic tools once more on the top casing and remove the housing. You will then see 2 x T20 (think it was) screws, holding the bulb into the housing. Undo those, unplug the bulb, and then put the new one in, put it all back remembering that when you pop the mirror back on, it was facing upwards so give it a hard push and that's it.

There's a YouTube video of someone with an F series car and that's what I followed.

Here's the video I watched

No errors on the car that I can see, just plug and play. Not sure what the BMW garage will say when they do my service but they ought to get a problem if you aren't allowed to swap out a simple bulb.

I've ordered a set so will see what BimmerLink says once I've got and fitted them.
