Permanently Clear Errors

I have Bimmerlink and I'm having trouble permanently clearing errors. I'm not sure what to do. I have a 2016 BMW 750i xDrive and it keeps giving me a "check engine" light since I messed with the o2 sensor, but the car still drives like it's supposed to. There's a chance I short-circuited the o2 sensor, but I'm not sure if I really did or not.

2 Questions:
1. How can I check if the o2 sensor is working properly?
2. How can I permanently clear the error if the o2 sensor is working fine?

What do the codes read? Are you sure it's not something like the grill shutters?

You may be able to use ista+ for both of them. I'm not quite sure but there may be a test plan to see if the o2 sensors are faulty or not.

As for wiping the codes, I'm pretty sure you can delete the codes from ista+ as well, but I don't think the software comes with a way to stop them from coming back up again (like tuning software) if the error reoccurs.

It won’t affect driving if it’s the post-cat sensor. It would need coding out or fixing (or some kind of mod).

it is very highly likely that the sensor needs to be replaced and it is not a huge cost to replace the sensor ... (this sensor works in very extreme conditions)

You could swap sensors from side to side to see if the error follows the sensor. Since you "messed with it" and based on the error message, it seems to me that the short-circuit error will persist until you fix the problem.

All of these answers are really helpful. I will definitely try and see if I can troubleshoot the post cat sensor.
