Had a 2009 f01 750li and 2012 f01 750li with m sport. Both cars had terrible ride quality and the engines were crap. Both consumed massive amounts of oil and the turbos were failing on the 12 after 30k miles. The cars were also loud compared to my 09 S63. Switched to a 2015 s550 and the car rides beautifully even with sport package and run flats. Has every feature mentioned above minus self park and gestures but additionaly has full auto night vision that lights up and marks pedestrians and 100% self steering and braking in traffic. Up to a certain speed it really does it all so I literally can be hands and feet free. Absolutely zero stress in traffic now! Above a certain speed you have to keep 1 finger on the steering wheel. Fix the ride quality and improve noise isolation... Maybe I'll get back into a 7 but for now the S wins.

Folks, the new 7 is an absolute segment changer. Usually, I admit the fact that Mercedes owns the segment and nobody else will ever be able to take that crown. BMW has created a car that has the ability to do exactly that. A car of that size should not drive the way it does. To my eyes, it looks fantastic too. Power delivery is linear, and the car pulls like a freaking freight train!

I was in both cars yesterday, and the new 7 is leaps and bounds better!

supershaft - way to pick up on sarcasm, obviously nothing to do with obama. seems like you take things a bit too serious.
and btw the m5 is 0-60 in 4.2. the G12 750 will do it 4.4.
The guys at the drive were not sure about the display key warranty, but if you need a new one, its actually going to be around 550, not 1k.

It won't work in the US anyway.

I still don't understand why anyone would get this over a Tesla P85D unless you're brand loyal to BMW

Hmm, let's see BMW just increased the amount of fuel used to park a car by 100%.

Way to go ED!

no, we're just tired of hearing dumb politicized shit.

the 750xi actually does it in 4.3s officially and the m5 is 4.2 officially but it's been reviewed in the 3.7-4.0 range which is still a substantial difference so who knows if bmw has been conservative with the estimate again. i wouldn't be surprised if it actually does 4sec flat.
