750i original exhaust modification

Hello everyone, new owner of g12 750i, i have stock exhaust not m and i want to make it louder and deeper v8 type sound, my last car was audi a7 3.0 tfsi, i did electrical valves behind rear mufflers and car sounded very deep and not to loud but not to quiet either (3x sound as stock). With g12 i have watched all youtube videos and read many threads on internet but cant decide what to delete: resonator or make flaps behind rear mufflers ( same as muffler delete ), looking for help from members who have did this muffler or resonator delete thanks and goodbye.

I replaced the entire system with a new custom setup. Removed stock system and did 3" straight pipe from downpipes to custom X and from X to race mufflers. You can use Vibrants 1794 I thinks.

I'll see if I can upload a video I took which is better.

Videos don't do it justice. It sounds sick and 0 drone which was my goal. I came from an M5 and hellcat and wanted the 7 to be a little more alive.

I removed the resonator and installed an x-pipe and the sound change is minimal.

Everything that I've seen so far, is if you want to change the sound, remove the muffler all together. not a whole lot of mods I've been able to find. But here's a link to a straight piped 750. Linked it to where they show the muffler delete, but earlier on they do just the 2 resonator removal with an X pipe.

So that's what I was saying, earlier in that video I posted, is of just that, both resonators removed. They then later in the video just remove the muffler.

Removing resonators and mufflers at the same time will cause lots of drone.
I seen the video of the straight pipe 750 and I don't think the guys doing the jobs are reputable.

An exhaust tech should know before hand how a twin turbo engine would react to a resonator delete and a muffler delete.

Best option which is probably the most expensive option is cat-less downpipes and an X pipe instead of the resonator while leaving stock mufflers on.

This gets expensive because of the added tune you would need to hide the check engine for the O2 sensors but you get non restricted airflow and pure turbo spool with the aggressiveness in sport mode.

I have catless DP on now with everything else stock and it sounds great. Thinking do to the X pipe now instead of the resonator.

I kept stock downpipes and went with a custom full exhaust on my G12 750i. Sounded amazing and no drone. X Pipe to aftermarket mufflers.

What brand mufflers did you get?

Only reason I'm not switching from the M muffler is because of the valves and the way it sounds in sport mode. Sounds too good during downshifts. Did you have the M muffler too stock?

I didn't have M mufflers and I went with a custom setup from Kinneys Muffler shop in Watauga, TX. I would highly recommend replacing stock mufflers with Vibrant Race Mufflers which are similar to Kinneys. I had them in my Hellcat Charger and F10 M5. Sounds amazing.

I have the M muffler as well that's why I didn't change it. From what I have gathered is that the M muffler makes a huge difference in sound.
My car too sounds great at downshifts in sport mode and can be quiet in comfort.

I assumed all G12's came with the M mufflers TIL

This is the video I was talking about before:

IMO that G12 sounds horrible.

Important to note that he doesn't have have the M muffler on it.
