Sold my hairdresser car

Took a deposit from the 1st guy that came to look at my Miata last night. Gotta pull some mods & he takes delivery Thursday. Now the hunt for the right classic car begins! Also looking for a winter beater if anyone has a line on something.

I'm sure I'll end up in another Miata, though, as this was my 3rd. Two stockers & this one was supercharged. Gotta go turbo or V8 swap next!

From 4 cars to 1 in a matter of 2 months. It's weird only having one car.

$6800 with the Momo wheel & carbon spoiler left on. Lots of other stuff coming off. I pretty much drove it around for almost a year for free. I lost no money.

Ever consider an Elise or Exige?

Winter beater - can't do better than a Jeep Wrangler. Fun in the summer too with the doors and roof off.

BTW: We are neighbors. I've seen your Z06 in the past before you sold it.

Wranglers cost stupid $. Not my idea of beater price.
Good friend had an Exige. Man that was fun to drive. However, pricing has gone up on them. Not worth $40k+ IMO.

I had an Exige and it's a tough car to live with. Ingress and egress are really tough, a door ding can cost thousands (fiberglass) body, seats are fixed (only move forward and backward), HVAC is a joke, lots of annoying little build issues, the list goes on and on. I sold mine because in the land of SUVs, it's flat-out dangerous. It's one notch above a motorcycle.

A wrangler is equally tough as it handles like shit, it's loud and slow, etc. Don't get me wrong, they are awesome, but the one thing that really sucks about a wrangler is actually driving one.

VW rabbit cabrio/Audi TT are hairdresser cars, the Miata isn't. It's universally regarded as a great driver's car, regardless of its diminutive stock power output. Dudes should feel no shame in owning one, especially modified.

Edit: just noticed the bra. Yeah, that makes it a hairdresser car

Yup. I bought my 2004 Miata for $7,600. Drove it for 3 years and put 30k miles on it. Sold it for $8,400.
