Let’s hope RR pricing doesn’t trickle down to the 7!

The shock of the E65 hasn't worn off yet and then they do this.

Absolutely horrendous.

Or it beats the E65 as the best selling 7 of all time. I doubt it, but let's see.

Man that thing is ugly. Did they work overtime to make it ugly on purpose?

That won't happen. Big luxury sedans are no longer big sellers like they were when the E65 came out. Today, they will sell 100 x7's for every 7 series because everyone wants an SUV. FWIW, I'm talking USA market only.

It does, but not in large numbers compared to the past. I'm sure Benz sells 100 GLS to every 1 S class….

The only times in which the S was down was for its class was 2020 because the W222 was put out of production early, and the W223 was released late in the second half of 2021.

it's not 100:1 is what I'm saying. If this 7 can be somewhat competitive with S-Class sales, it could become the new best selling 7 of all time.

They'd have to pull a rabbit out of a hat for that. i7 sales will be counted with the 7-Series so undoubtedly the number will increase, but 2002 represents 22,000 yearly sales for the 7er and that is very unlikely for the new 7er even when combining sales of two separate models.

It's a tall order, but if the Chinese and young American crowd dig it...we'll see what happens globally.

It will definitely outsell. No question about it. I would buy if I could afford it. But it still looks hideous!

I'm in Munich right now, and today, about 100 Kms away from the city, on the Autobahn, I think I saw this car with camouflage pass my car at about 160-180 Kms/H.

I think it was this one because of the 4 series like illuminated grill. I don't think there's any other BMW (at least that I know of) that has that specific combination.

The grill illuminated didn't look good at all, though the car was camouflaged and that probably accentuated the grill even more.

Very planted, it looked very stable at very high speed on a not so optimal stretch of the road.

Now that I see this thread again, I have to say that my 100 to 1 comment was in jest and purposely exaggerated even though my intent didn't translate well.

Having said that, the sales numbers posted what I meant which is that the SUV outsells the compatible sedan by a large margin. Nothing against the 7 or the S as they are both great cars, but the SUV is the sales king these days.
