Add in shipping @ 1K, a modern iDrive retrofit if so inclined, and any possible maintenance / full refresh, and lets call the total price @ around 38K - personally I’d happily pay 70 - 80K for one.

And it’s a much better car than the new 7er. Though the new interior is beautiful, that exterior is just… Awful.

So long, BMW. It’s been fun.

I wonder how the driver can check the rear view mirror if there is a 31.3 inches TV in the way.

I'm sure it has presence but the design just doesn't make sense at all in some areas and is pretty repulsive.

One of the ugliest BMW ever made.

Its like a guy with sunglasses on forehead…
And those ugly grils!!!

Love the M-Sport variant with the striking two-tone color layout like a Rolls. Bold and stunning. With this treatment the front looks rad.

Love the interior, layout and seats look awesome. Not a big fan of the back.

Overall, it's very different, not playing safe and pushing the boundaries.

Unattractive in my opinion however there is no denying it is a pretty impressive overall package. BMW really had to go tech forward with this generation in light of how dated the current model feels + increasing competition from Lucid, Tesla, etc. They seem to have delivered at least on the interior front and should retain customers who have been switching to other brands and hopefully be winning customers back from Tesla. One of my more senior colleagues drives a 5er hybrid but but a deposit on a Lucid. This car should make people like him stay in the BMW family.

This and the EQS are both ugly, but this is far less ugly.

I would imagine it has a digital rear view mirror.

I am LOLing at all the people across the internet who are not in the market for this car, decrying it as the end of BMW.

Please, opine on your FWD 2.5L I4 crossover all you want. Once you're ready to drop $130K+ for a car, then we'll talk.

Oh what, are you going to go buy an A8 or LS500 now? Not a chance, this car was never for you.

It looks like a more modern baby Rolls-Royce, which is exactly what it should be. It's literally as long as the previous generation Ghost now.

Is it perfect? No. But as someone actually in the market for this car, I can tell you my impression is generally positive, and continually improving from this morning, when I admit I wasn't sure what to make of this.

And it's got the suspension system from the ghost so it'll be a plushy ride!
