Take a look at the US configurator for the 7 Series and i7

I gotta say, it's a little frustrating.

The internal combustion engine cars have no option for the non-M exterior. Nor can you add the window surround in chrome.

On the inside, you can't get the cashmere upholstery without also getting the theater screen.

I can see the frustration that you have. Personally, even on the bigger more luxurious sedans, I still prefer the sportier design myself.

The on line configurator has never matched up perfectly with the Ordering Guides. This one omits options like front seat massage - it appears only in the Executive Package but is available seprately per the ordering guide. I also notice that all the "wheel" options are for non run flats and the Mobility Kit is standard. Has BMW changed its mind about that? Or is the under the trunk area now got the 48v battery?

Can you please post when the dealer and BMW accept it? I'd like to put in an order in July/Aug. Thanx.

I can't believe I'm saying this but I agree, for once I actually find the non M-sport look to fit the car much better as it gets rid of the ridiculous amount of gloss black trim all over the car. Front end still is not my cup of tea on either model though.

I don't like the all black front...at least not in photos. But M-Sport with chrome grills looks good to me

Agreed.

It's a shame because the silhouette is actually perfect, very Rolls Royce-like but let down by the details. Busy front fascia and almost comically thin taillights relative the amount of surface area there in at the rear.

Did some options fall off the i7 configurator? Like the Swarovski headlights etc?

Yeah, the Exec package fell off too.

Don't go by the on-line "build your own." The pricing and ordering guide document that dealers get is what governs (the one for the gas powered 7 series was posted here; not sure about the i7).

It seems like user @It's Good on the other thread (https://www.7post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1938634) confirmed with BMW that some of the options that disappeared is due to supply constraints.

Yes, it looks that way now. My dealer took my order that included massaging front seats. The configurator had that only in the Executive Package. Now it seems to be gone entirely. But I'm not expecting to see a car until next year (8th in the queue) so I am hoping some things will get put back. Maybe Autobahn too. At least IAS is now standard.
