Agreed. I've liked every new generation 7 until now. That thing in the first post is just hideous. The F90 and G15 are the only remaining beautiful BMW's. I'm sure before long BMW will find a way to make them look like something from a low budget 90's sci-fi movie.
I drew better looking cars when I was in 3rd grade. |

Second best looking 7 series imo. These will sell real well.

This is a bmw forum with individuals who've either owned the previous iterations of the 7 or other bmw models and are clearly fans of the brand. Being critical of a model is part and parcel to that fandom. I don't understand people who act like BMW enthusiasts (or any manufacturer's fan base) should love everything the companies produce/design, and if they don't, they're somehow betraying the brand or "can't even afford it". |

And I completely disagree with you on "forgettable", this is a future classic and will be very very memorable. First time ever 7 series nailed the interior and leapfrogged competition...

The point is, this car probably isn't for you, for one of those two reasons. It's not designed to appeal to you, so the fact that it doesn't, is not evidence of BMW's failure. There's also a strong whiff of "back in my day" on here too, which can be summed up as "everything good ended after I exited my 20s". |

OK, I can accept that concept. But then you go on to completely ignore the fact that BMW has been trying edgy 7 series designs since the days of Bengle and they've fallen on their face. The people who can afford them, the people who want to buy them - don't. And THAT is evidence of BMW's failure.

Why? because the guy who designed the E65 is now the boss of design at BMW...the entire group. Last edited by E66er; 08-01-2022 at 05:11 PM.. |

I don't recall that, though I may be wrong. I thought the E65 was when the S Class really opened up its lead, but that the LCI helped a lot. I'll have to look-up the numbers.

I'll leave myself out of this argument, but I'll use a friend, who happens to be a billionaire. Even a Buggati Noir would be pocket change for him. You want to know one car he agrees with me 100% about, this hideous thing. What he drives most is his 2022 Range Rover, which I agree is a beautiful, modern piece of art. Not for me, but a beautiful vehicle inside and out. |
