NBT retrofit on car before 07/2012

Hi Guys,
A friend asks me about NBT retrofit from HU_Entry to NBT on his F20 from 04/2012, so - I guess - before BMW started to produce new model K-Can 500kB
Do you think he needs eNBT on Exx adapter ? Someone have done this ?

F20 runs on the same architecture as your F30 so it is a KCAN2 based system. He definitely will not need the Exx retrofit adapter.

If you were talking about an F10, that would be a different story.

As you said,I through it is same problem for all F-serie before mid-2012

So for F1x <07/2012, the only way to make a NBT retrofit is to install ZGW-8SK ?
