doing a little research for the eibach pro + koni yellow suspension mod for my 2011 335xi e92. in diving a little deeper regarding the e36 m3 bump stops to retain a little travel in the front, i keep coming across "shaved top mounts" in conjunction with the shorter bumpstops, but mostly in m3 forums where they say shaving 8mm off the bump stops is essential for protecting the electronic damper controls. the modded bump stops look like this (normal on right, modded on left obviously).

since our xdrives do not have electronic damper controls (at least mine doesn't) do these shaved top mounts apply to our cars? even if not essential, it seems like a good extra measure to prevent bottoming out.

if applicable to our xdrive e9x chassis, does anyone know where to get them?
