D1S Xenon buld...

My stealer want 430 Can$ for a D1S Xenon bulb…
1- Any comments on the cheap bulb from China … ??? I would like to go up to 5000 k …

2- How often the ballast quit working on a HID projector ??

1 Don't buy the knock offs, nothing but potential problems with either inferior quality, life span or worst case blowing factory ballast.

2 Ballast usually have 10 years in them but it really depends on the hours and conditions.

Check the vendor section for OE replacements, you can save quite a bit VS buying from the dealer.

A reputable d1s on Amazon cost me $30 and no issues , if u wanna be cautious and get the Phillips ones , they run a bit more but are good

i have phillips for $60 a pair.

Thank you so much Guys ! I'll switch my bulbs to make sure that the balast if out of the equation ... My car is 10 year old after all

And i'll go with a pair of well know (Philips) 5000 k !

Swap the bulbs to see if the issue follows.

Purchased my Osram CBIs from theretrofitsource.com. Great place for authentic Philips and Osram bulbs.
