Here's in idea.

If you have CF roof overlay or matt black roof, leave the upside part of the trunk CF.

Just paint the the trunk rear.

I wish I could explain it better, but hope that helps.

I did mine that way but my car is black so it blended very well. Your's is white not sure I would expose so much carbonfiber on a white car though.

I am always a fan of leaving the tail exposed either with a fade or line and the having the rest of the trunk painted.

If you get the hood and roof, leave a racing stripes down the middle of the car in CF, a la AC Cobra style. It would look like just a black racing stripe until you get a closer look.

Do you have any pics yet? who makes this trunk... I think I've only seen them on E92's except for custom aps. I've seen people just leave the license plate area exposed. How about a really subtle fade leaving a very small amount exposed just at the back edge, almost as if the white paint is just really thin in that area. Hard to explain but might look good

I know you dont want to be like everyone else with the top strip not painted, but i think thats the cleanest and most subtle way you can go. If you do the black roof and leave the top of the trunk exposed carbon fiber, sure it will work for your car, but i bet you will have a hard time selling it. Plus i think that whole black through the top of your car will look somewhat cheap.

Photo of the trunk on my girlfriends car.

I kinda like this one myself, one of forum members here's beautiful ride!! ... to me it seems silly to paint the whole thing if you paid for CF especially considering resale as well!

i'm changing my answer to what Craig said actually

That whole "leave the tip" unpainted is gettin played out...considering everyone that wants to be "unique" paints it that way LOL
