Determine Bill of Lading number?

The title says it all. Is there a way to find the Bill of Lading number for a car? When is it assigned? Along with the VIN? When it is dispatched from factory? Other?

The main carrier from Germany (WW) used to make this easy to find on their site, but pulled the search a couple of years ago.
