My G82 alerted me of a "headrest malfunction, passenger side" today after I started the car up this afternoon. I checked the message and it mentioned the seatbelt may be stuck. I verified that the seatbelt worked fine, as well as the headrest. It says I need to take it to a service center.
It was working just fine about 10 mins before I stopped to pick up dog food. Interestingly enough I did a remote software update this morning, but it didn't have any issues on the first drive after that. Anyone else experience this or have any ideas what to do short of taking it in? Edit: after turning the car off completely (keys far away for 20 min), the message went away upon restart…

I checked my VIN for recalls on BMW's website and nothing came out. I think it may have had something to do after the update. It has not come back, so thats promising.

I learn a lot on these forums so I try and give back as much as I can. Thanks for noticing!
