Has anyone de-badged?
My g80 goes in for PPF next week and I'm seriously considering removing the M3 comp badge from the rear and side blades.
Anyone else done this? Is it considered a sin to de-badge an M car? |

I personally don't like de-badged cars. I think its reserved for 325i's that want to trick people into thinking its an M. I know this is controversial, but it is just my opinion. In any case, I think we can all agree that a de-badge is not nearly as bad as a fake M badge. You should be sent to the gulag for even thinking about doing that.

Who really cares what others think? If you prefer the de-badged look, go for it! Do what will make you happy each time you walk out to your car, not what you hope others will or will not be thinking about when they see it.

Not often I agree with a FIB, but he's right.

Ideally I'm hoping to remove it from mine and have the front grill appear as though that badge was never there to begin with. |

Update: leaving the rear badge off for now. Considering how many letters my F87 had on the back (DINAN badge, M2 badge, personalized plate, MPLS sticker) I am liking this clean look

Thanks! That was my detailer's idea. He regretted it after, as he said it took around 2 hours per handle but wanted to try it. Comfort access works just fine but the way the seams had to be done we aren't sure how long they'll last. If the wrap becomes an issue I'll just get them painted.
