Painting the muffler

Long before I got this car I would be behind a M2 and wonder why was BMW showing off a muffler? Either make a deeper diffuser or do something else with that muffler.

I have painted them black before and probably will this week but are you guys good with that big silver thing on display?

Already on my immediate list too, painting the udder black. Mine will be done in the next month, after more pressing mods

Do you intend to paint it flat black with a high-temp grill paint?

No, they sell exhaust paint, in fact I have plenty as my 930 needs touch ups from time to time and I painted it...air-cooled engines get hot!

I painted my G82's muffler black literally hours after I picked up the car. Looks soooo much better now!

BMW has been deliberate about this with every M3 as a matter of aerodynamics. This is why you’ll typically see Eisenmann and Dinan replicating the bulky muffler design. How fast would you have to be driving to notice? 100+?
