Carbon Fiber Air Inlet Install (Aftermarket Inlets)

So I picked up some carbon air inlets from XXII tuning and documented the install in the video below. Fitment was spot on but the install process was a lot. I would allocate 4-5 hours to make sure you take your time and do it correctly. There is a bunch of small tabs you can crack or break.

They took about 10 days to arrive after order was processed FYI.

I was looking forward to getting these in the future but it sucks that install is a pain. I would want to have a shop do it for me

My motivation progressively decreased as I watched the video. I guess if I bought a few others parts and just got a shop to do it all it'd be fine, it all just increases cost though. My wife is going to kill me.

I watched the video, last night. Its pretty involved, however, if you just plug away at it, you will eventually get it done. Like you said, allow plenty of time for this. And its going to start getting cooler out, so, maybe I would wait until it was down in the 60s-70s during the day, before I tackle something like this.

Bummer you deleted my YT comment.

These seem nice. Would love to compare to R44s quality and fitment.

During the install you said there was a slight gap and I even notice it in the website photos. Nothing crazy, but still there. Is that still the case? Nice work on the install.

I have not deleted any posts on YouTube. Sometimes YT flags comments by accident if a word it similar to a restricted word.

Anyway thanks and I just had to push some more on the inlet to remove the gaps. No gaps now and fitment is spot on.

I wish I could comment. They have been in the garage for about a month.

I have been waiting for my CT CF kit (spoiler, diffuser, front splitter, ss extensions and, replacement side skirts) to avoid having to remove the front bumper twice.. it has shipped yesterday so will be doing the install of the air inlets and full kit, ppf, mss has, spacers and intake next Monday. Should be in the shop for a few days but then will have a full write up on everything.

Extensions plus replacement. They also sell a kit that is just the extensions but I didn't think the contrast of gloss black, alpine white and cf that close together was going to look right so opted to replace the entire skirt
