The Perfect 10. (EVO Mag)
Hello ! I wanted to share with you the new Evo issue #291 , which describes once again the M2 CS as a true successor to the E30 M3 , and their 10 best performance cars they have driven.
Added a zoomed in photo as well for the E30 M3.

Great find my friend. I have many of both, the E30 M3 and the M2 CS. Legends!
What great company those cars run with.

I prefer the S2 Exige over the S1 Elise, but it's true that it wasn't as ground-breaking.
The CS could have been so much better IMO, but it's epic as-is. |

I love the choices they've made. I note they didn't pick the E30 M3 Evo or Evo II but the base model. I've heard some say the M2 CS should have been a L model but if it had I'd definitely have passed it up. I wasn't after a garage queen or a track only special.

I agree that a track-only model wouldn't have been preferable, but some additional lightening, especially in the front, would have been very welcome. The car IMO is just too heavy. It would have been really nice to have the G80 seat option at a minimum.

I wish the M2 CS was all CF body panels, a bad ass factory wing and a factory roll bar, coilovers, etccc. I would have paid $150,000 for that. I'm begging BMW to make this car. Maybe it's last ICE sports car and WAY MORE than $150,000. I would love to see them make a $500,000 one off sports car. Make 100 or so examples. It would sell.

lol good point...except for the CF body panels. Those are saved for the M6 GT3 and the M4 GT3. On the GT4 it got CF Doors and a hood. Unsure about the deck lid, hmmmm.
I gotta admit I'm a lucky man. 300 CSR made worldwide, less than 1/2 of those in the USA. Long live the mighty M2 CS (R)

Great list! Haven't had a chance to drive a lot of them, but the one that keeps surprising me is the Type R. I've seen a few guys even on Rennlist drive one as a daily and they swear by it.

Very few of these cars have electric power steering. Not surprising at all. Only 7 and 10 have EPS, as far as I'm aware. They are also not near the top. I'd have been well shocked if an M2 (or any modern BMW) of some sort did happen to be in this list.

Driven many of them and my 997.2 RS was the only car I ever regret selling.
