Rear badge reinstallation?

Good morning, all.
Is there a way to reinstall the rear 'M3' or 'M4' badge on the exact spot as it came from the factory?

I'm thinking of removing the badge so the PPF installer could put full PPF on the trunk instead of cutting around the badge.

So basically, using masking tape wouldn't be an option for me.
Is there an installation jig for the rear badges? Or do I have to make one myself before bringing the car in?

I was referring to the 'M4' badge, not the BMW Emblem.

Take a piece of painters tape and run it horizontally right under and against the emblem. Run it out onto the tail light or quarter panel (whichever it runs in to). Measure from the edge of the tail light to the start of the emblem. Now remove the portion of the tape on the trunk.

I was thinking of using a card board to make a jig (with a hole cut for the badge), but I like your idea better!
Thanks!
