Wrapping gloss/matte black interior parts with cf fabric
Hi guys, highly contemplating wrapping a few interior panels with cf-look, I bought my car stock and didn’t have the luxury of custom ordering with a cf int, I know I could go with replacing them with parts from places like eas, but anyone here thought of or have wrapped them themselves/diy?
How did you take them off for wrapping?

I did this 10 years ago with an E83 X3, in order to cover the wood trim and the 'dust magnet' center air vents and storage lid. It turned out great, but I was fooling no one (nor attempting to do so), as to the material. (I was swapped the steering wheel and upholstered pieces, since the original gray-over-brown was ahead of its time.). Removal is as easy as any other adhesive.

I think the CF wrap has come a long way since the early examples from a decade ago.
The best one I've seen is the STEK CF look PPF. Applying PPF material needs practice but the interior pieces aren't that complex in shape, so I think the project could turn out pretty good. Good luck! |
