My thought is that most manufacturers have abandoned this idea because vast majority of people that have bought the car, wouldn't have bought it if they really didn't like it. And the very small percentage of buyers that might still want to change the front might not justify research, development, testing costs and manufacturing of a new bumper for an aftermarket company. Especially in this market/economy. I'm personally looking forward to the new CSL grill that has been spotted and looks much better than default one. Rumor is a couple companies are already working on it.

The car is going for over MSRP and some are waiting a year. Guess they smartly decided it was a bad investment to develop and produce.

I think that small percentage of people that lost their collective minds when the new grill came out can’t fully accept that most people like it and then it’s here to stay. I get it. Change is difficult for some people. It’s even more difficult when they finally realize they are in the minority. The extreme minority actually. We are all going to be feeling the same way that first year there are no more combustion engine cars produced by BMW.

Upon initial release of the car it seemed like numerous companies saw an opportunity to capitalize on the fact that the new front was not initially welcomed. But that has changed and many like myself now love the front seeing the cars in person. I personally would most likely not change mine even if new designs came out.

That looks ridiculous. If they’re going to change it they might as well just change the stupid thing. However I’m with you. I love the new design. Heaven forbid we don’t keep the same kidney grills for the next hundred years.

Yeah. Initially I did not like the new front until i saw the beast in person. I was stopping at my local dealer everyday to see it lol. I threw my 3700 mile 6 speed comp F80 up for sale and ordered a 6 speed G80 immediately and dont regret it one bit. Love the car. The F80 was my first M. It was suppose to bridge the gap to eventually getting a 991.2 GT3. Then covid hit and Gt3 prices took off. I thought the G80 would now bridge the gap but at this point I think shes here to stay. And being possibly the last manual and strictly gasoline engine just adds to it.

At this point all the proposed redesigns look way worse than the OEM look.
Just wait til the CS grill is available for purchase. That thing looks sick... |
