It's cool. But why doesn't anyone create a new insert grill just leaving the above license plate holder exposed? Then, if desired, it would still allow us to mix and match lips and splitters from other vendors.

Honestly the new grille has grown on me since taking home the car.

So much that i ditched installing a carbonio license plate holder and went with a tow hook plate holder so i wouldn't block the grille.

May not go into production but would be rude not to create a prototype after all the extensive design work.

Once its on the car and people see if we can gauge what we do production wise.

I'm genuinely curious how it'll look. I can't say I like it or dislike it as it's not on the car yet, but it could look better in the flesh/on the car.

While I personally love the current design I too am at least curious to see how this will look on the car. Can't judge it until we see how it all flows together. So far I haven't been a fan of what has been shown by others or via renders though.

I really would’ve thought that by now the haters would’ve realized that they are actually in the extreme minority and just given up all together on whining about the new design. I think the new grille looks way better than the one on the F80.

That looks fantastic, I would be first in line to buy that upgraded front bumper.

My question then for Imran I guess, as it's his product, do the grilles have to be in that shape based on current original styling? What I mean is that right now the hood lines and bumper have those lines based on the current huge grille. What would it look like if you just went down the street to the dealer, got some M8 or M5 grilles, put them on, would the lines and all that be distracting or not flow as well?

A game changer? Seriously? Let me quote my second grade teacher when I say let’s put our thinking caps on for a second. Don’t you think if these guys like our friend Imran thought they could make money off changing the front of these new G80s that there would be 3 to 10 companies having already completed it by now? I mean the car has been out for a long time now you know? People are buying the G8X with the new design in droves because they like the new design regardless of the handful of haters on this forum. I doubt very seriously Imran or any other BMW aftermarket parts company is going to invest in and mass produce a new front bumper at this stage now that they see the new design is a hit and making record sales. If you really just can’t get over the new design personally and you hate it that much I highly recommend you buy an F80 or fork over 30K more and buy the M5. I can get an allocation for a new M5 at my dealer right now.
