It used to feel nice to have someone drove beside you and gave you a compliment like "nice ride".
And I usually returned a thumb up as acknowledgement.

With the amount of carjackings this year in Toronto...I think its about 100 right now. And they usually looked for luxury car and always done it at gunpoint violently.

I just looked at the guys and thinking...what the heck did they mean and checking to see if my doors are locked. And are they following me.

Sigh...these car theft ring is just killing my enjoyment of the ride.

Maybe they'll think "oh that's just a 3 series, lets get that suv instead..."
A mercedes gl suv was stolen on my street last year, they followed the old lady home and as soon as she got out they pushed her down and hopped in and drove off... they drove an i8

Luckily the car was recovered, i have three 4k cameras watching my street now that can capture plates.

Guess it depends on what else is on the road. Around here, BMWs are very popular and nothing special.

Depends what they are jacking for.

Where I used to live M5 and RS4 avant were the number one targets. They used to break in to houses for the keys and often took them under duress.

They wanted fast get away cars for bank jobs etc

If they just want cars to sell / sell for parts maybe the G80 is not much more likely to be targeted

What have they been going after?

One of my buddies neighbours had them follow the wife into the garage to take her S600. Other I have heard of are range rovers and Merc SUV's but any of us can be a target really.

But ya let's lower the penalty for illegal gun possession because that always helps.

Right now it's car jackings. Next is only going to be worse and I'm telling you now it will get worse as cost of living rises and people can't afford it.
