Staggered Setup?

So as we all know the standard tires and rims for the M240i are either 19" (front & back) with 225 front & 255 rear (if you got performance non- run-flats) or 225 all around (if you got run-flats). The new M2 coming out has a staggered set up with 19" in the front and 20" in the back. I was wondering if it's possible to do on the G42. Should be the same chassis but I know the fenders are a bit different for the new upcoming M2.
Thoughts? Or are we stuck doing 19"s or 20"s all around.

As long as the outside diameter of the tires are within 1% should be fine

1% of original tire diameter or 1% relative to new tires front to rear? Also if new tires have a different diameter can the speedometer be re calibrated.

1% relative front to rear to keep xdrive clutch packs happy.

That being said, I aim to also stick to approx 1%-2% rolling diameter.

I've got 285/35/19 and 245/40/19 on the stock rims. Both tires raise the ride height an identical 11mm from the stock setup. I'm going to lower the car next and attach a front lip splitter. With this combo the wheel arches are "filled" better and have a little more clearance on the road for the splitter.

You sir have a really unique car. Out of all the builds being tracked in the "Order Status and Timeline" thread, I haven't seen any M240's that were pained red with the 893M wheel package.

It looks great!

Don't mean to necro the thread but on my build sheet for the performance run-flats it says 225/255. Mine is a 2023 was this a change made for the 23s by chance?

I don't think that is a change. Check out ordering guides for 2022 and 2023 in general forum. For example, I see 1PP option (perf RFT tire F225/R255) existed on both 2022/2023 guides.
However, it didn't add 840 for speed limit increase for 2022 from the guide though.

The terms "tires" and "wheels" may be used interchangeably at times, but they are not the same thing. Wheels are the rims on which tires are affixed. Tires are rubber ovals that are installed on the wheels.

I don't think performance run-flats are offered? If you're getting performance tires they are non run-flat for higher increased speeds and traction.

Incorrect, one of the available options is a performance run-flat option. I wouldn't take it, but it's one of the options. And not a new concept, my 2009 328i had Bridgestone Potenza RFTs.

Oh wow. Well I mean I think it's counterproductive to make a performance tire a run-flat cause it'll be unable to sustain higher top speeds than a non run-flat.

I agree. I changed it last minute after learning about the speed limiter on A/S. I'm just going to order some Michelin pilot sport A/S for a year or so then get some proper summer tires.
