N63 Engine issues

Question on the current N63 engine version on the G05/G06. Does it consume oil like the old N63TU engine on my CPO 2013 650i wherein a quart of oil every 1K miles is considered normal? How about issues with the vent lines above the engine due to the heat which generated the dreaded Drivetrain malfunction code?

Considering either an X5M50i or 6 series M50i in addition to an X5M or M5. Please advise.

Not at all. Do you have a current N63 BMW and we're talking excessive. My S63 consumes half a quart every 5K miles and that is very normal.

I'm looking for first hand experience or expert knowledge.

I have the xDrive50i (2019) which is the N63B44M3 (N63TU3). We haven't had to top off any oil in over 10,000 miles before our next due oil change.

The M50i has the N63B44T3 (N63TU3), and I cannot speak towards that.

My wife also drives my old 2019 x5 50i and we've never had to add any oil between oil change intervals. I do however change it myself every 5k miles though. It has been fault-free after 31k miles.
