Won't work with X drive. Rolling diameter is over 1%

Yep. I try to be careful about noting that as this sample set had to be used on multiple cars, but you can swap the front tires out for 245/40-19 to make it xDrive compatible. Running the 19x9" wheels front and rear with the same tire size is another popular option as well as it allows you to properly rotate your wheels and tires.

Yes, the sample set was for the G20 3 series and we needed the wider 255/35-19 front tire to check clearances against some setups with coilovers. We installed the wheels on this G42 to confirm fitment, but this isn't the tire size I'd recommend for xDrive.

Yeah, I'm tempted to go with a set of VS-5RS in 19x9 with 255/35's all around. Looks to be a savings of close to 10 lbs/wheel up front, and nearly 12 lbs/wheel in back over the Chinese made 893M's.

Full Transparency: Our wheels are also made in China and Taiwan depending on the fitment. The weight savings are real and our engineering team live in the US but I try to be clear about our manufacturing so future customers aren't surprised when they see the box.

We use our own QC and 3rd party testing to ensure we are meeting or in most cases exceeding JWL recommended load ratings. Details on that here for forged VS-5RS: Testing to a Higher Standard

No worries. I just saw MADE IN CHINA on the 893M's when I was installing the spacers and was a little surprised. I was expecting either Europe or Mexico.

Any chance the 19x9" ET25 APEX VS-5RS will be offered in matte bronze?

We may add it in the future, but it'll depend on how these wheels sell initially. We generally only expand the finish options for wheels that sell well as additional finishes makes ordering and stocking them more difficult so it's a bit of a trade-off.

If you're in the Bay Area (California) and can stop by our office in Pleasanton, please submit a response to our form.

Thank you. Those look great for the front, but my car came stock with 9.5" rears. Do you guys have a wider rear option?

The 255 fits on a 9" perfectly, and is actually the size TireRack uses to test the 255 Michelin PS4S.

Do you mean a wider rear wheel option? We recommend the 19x10 ET38 for anyone looking for a staggered setup and note a few different tire options for that wider wheel in the fitment guide

Will this staggered size work? It keeps rolling radius identical, keeping the xDrive happy.
