Is Penzoil Platinum Euro an acceptable oil (in 0W20) for the 'LL' raiting required?
Does regular Penzoil Platinum synthetic have this rating, and does it matter??

No.

According to https://www.pennzoil.com/en_us/produ...bGFuZz1lbi1VUw the oil you mention is only LL-01 LL-04 certified in the 5w-30 and 5w-40 weights. The factory 0w-20 oil in the 22 x5 is LL-17FE+. Below is from the owner's manual and attached is info on BMW's LL-17FE+ oil and oils compatible with LL-17FE+

Thx, I ended up buying a castrol euro 0w20 rated LL-17.
