Cabin Air Filter Question (white hose?)

Hi all, was watching the below video to learn how to replace the cabin air filter myself.

Can someone tell me, what is the white hose on the left for, which looks to be already disconnected when they remove the cover at the 30 second mark of the video, but then they connect it to something when replacing the cover at 1:55. Entirely possible they explain it, but its not in English.

It's a drain hose.

Something also of note in the video - they replaced the old filters which were carbon activated filters, with plain paper ones. The carbon activated filters are much better - and do a good job of eliminating odors.
