Serpentine belt

Belt not needed yet but that doesn't stop a retired guy from buying one....

So all the parts sites I looked at shows a type/size of 6PK-1153, which is 1153mm. Interesting that they also advertise tools to slip/force a belt over a pulley.

I happened to see the original belt in my 2019 at the spot that has the size imprinted on it 6PK-1155.

Are we stuck with buying a belt 2mm shorter that we have to force on?
Or maybe it fits ok, anyone replaced this?

I can't imagine 2mm making or breaking it fitting, especially considering there's usually a bit of slack when you release the belt tensioner. You're only talking about around 1/16 of an inch in length. The size that's on it can be ordered from an auto parts house. I would just try to match the same brand. Hopefully the actually OEM is labeled and not just a BMW P/N.

Continental is what's in it. Wouldn't use anything else.
Yeah, 2mm is not much, just aggravates me that the exact replacement is different. Maybe an updated length. I had a 92 535i that the actual A/C belt had to be driven on by bumping the starter, very annoying.

Serpentine belt also has tensioner. 2mm won’t make any difference.
