Anyone have any experience with these after market inlets I saw on eBay and auto technik website. They're not the m performance ones and have the sensor housing as well. Reading the install instructions on the eBay one says it's just double sided tape.
Edit: the eBay guy replied said it's just taped in and that's it no cutting ! Waiting on auto technik for the reply. |

If these are as deep as the OEM ones then I’m not sure how these would fit without cutting out the existing fins. I had the MP ones (the adhesive one of them is already coming loose) port installed so I haven’t seen what it looks like stock to compare.
If you wanna go this route then best go with China/Ebay/AliExpress because that’s most likely where Autotecknics is getting it from. I just hope these fit better than the CF mirror caps I got from them. |

That's true about the fins which is why I was asking. Also the eBay one was more expensive than the auto technik ones.
This is reply from eBay "The depth extends to the bottom, and the inner bumper strip completely covers it, which will not get in the way. Looking at the photos, it is almost perfectly covered." And sent this photo Edit: ebay one said it does need to be cut after I dug deeper with the install team |

Auto technik reply
"Thank you for reaching out to us. Our part will not actually require any cutting like the OEM M Performance counterpart. If you take a closer look at ours and the M Performance one, you will see the construction is slightly different allowing it to be installed without any cutting into the bumper." |

Even the housing on the PDC sensor is "carbon". Looks good, but someone will have to bite the bullet to see about actual quality and fitment.
Hope this opens the door for more designs as well. |

Pretty good install video. How do we feel about the quality of this cheaper option? |

Just curious as I spec'd this on my build but if it's shoddy and falling off after a month on yours... I might take it off and wait to see how aftermarket is |

If I had to do it over again, I’d still get the inlets because I like how they look but probably go the af route. |
