Battery Tender

I have an older battery tender with the alligator clamps (mid 2000) and was hoping this is still compatible with this car.

Anyone knows?

Is it compatible with AGM batteries?
Make sure you use the hood posts for connection.

CTEK is the go to for most on Rennlist. I personally own 3 CTEK devices.

I get that however, hard to justify buying that if I already have something that will work just fine.

I’m new to the BMW world. I just got my CTEK today and put the alligator clips on the positive and negative posts in the engine bay per the manual.

We have AGM batteries? So use the AGM setting?

I bought the CTEK 5.0 as recommended but noticed that BMW says not to charge higher than 14.8, but according to the CTEK manual, “step one” of the cycle is 15.8…

Must not be an issue since everyone uses this one?

That is the DESULPHATION stage. I am assuming it is alright.
