Wheel Bolt pattern question

Has anyone tried fitting XM wheels on x5 x6 or x7 or vice-versa. I had a friend of my tell me that XM wheels aren't compatible with anyone other platforms (Meaning g05 g07 g06) which mean the reverse is also improbable. From what I've seen in the pass bmw always had wheels that were interchangeable. Please can some one provide some insight.

The XM has the same center bore but those other cars are 5x112 bolt pattern and the XM is 5x120

Wow, I thought bmw just changed everything to 5x112 on all platforms.
Is bmw going back to 5x120?
